A gateway for age tech coming into Canada

The SilverTech HubWhere the
Silver Economy
Gets Built.

Bringing older adults, innovators, researchers, businesses and community partners together to shape, test and bring to market the products, services and businesses that support aging with dignity, independence and choice.

Build With Us, Not For Us.

Good ideas can start with anyone. We’re building a place where seniors bring ideas and everyday challenges, innovators bring early concepts for honest feedback, and we help match people with the skills and partners to develop solutions together. You don’t need a finished product, just a starting point.

The Silver Age: a multigenerational group of innovators, led by an older woman. Build with us, not for us.

The opportunity

Ideas worth building.
People worth building with.

Start with seniors

Ideas, experience and everyday challenges.

Seniors bring more than feedback. They bring ideas, skills and firsthand knowledge of what could work better. The Hub will help connect them with innovators, researchers and businesses to develop solutions together.

Shape ideas early

You don’t need a finished product.

Bring an early concept, a service or a prototype in front of seniors. Listen, test assumptions and refine it together before investing further. The answer may be simple, low-tech or digital, what matters is whether it helps.

Build a path forward

From promising idea to everyday use.

We’re building connections to support testing, real-world pilots, security and quality checks, and commercialization. Training, ongoing feedback and support for adoption will help solutions become useful parts of people’s lives.

The silver economy spans health, housing, finance, mobility, technology and the ways we live and connect. Its future should be built with older adults not simply for them. Everyday technology can benefit from being tested with seniors. Their feedback helps identify barriers and shape products that are easier to understand, trust and use.

Who we’re bringing together

Built on shared purpose.

We’re building a network that connects lived experience, practical skills, research and investment, with older adults helping shape the work from the beginning. Rooted in Edmonton and Alberta’s innovation ecosystem, the Hub aims to be Canada’s testing ground for age tech.
